Webinar 4: Opto-cosmetics for your dry eye patients

It is estimated that the global eye cosmetic market will exceed USD $23 billion by 2028. The growth of makeup tutorials on social media and other outlets encourages consumers to explore new products and techniques. However, our patients may not have considered the effects some eye cosmetic products and procedures may have on their ocular surface.

This session will describe the impact of eye cosmetics on the ocular surface, identify some of the potential effects and complications associated with cosmetic use, and highlight specific considerations for patients with dry eye disease.

Learning outcomes

  • Practitioners will identify lifestyle management options for ocular surface disease relative to their scope of practice
  • The ability to support patients by giving advice on lifestyle and on making choices that will improve the management of dry eye disease.
