Registration has opened for eye care professionals to get involved in this year’s Love Your Lenses Week.

In 2023 the awareness week, which is organised annually by the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA), will run on 4–10 September with a theme of putting contact lenses firmly in the public eye.

The BCLA shared that the first 200 UK-based practitioners to register for this year’s Love Your Lenses campaign will receive both a printed and online resource pack, which includes t-shirts, pens, stickers, posters and digital assets that are designed to support them in spreading the word both in-person and online via social media and their website.

International eye care practitioners can also support the campaign and after registering will receive the digital assets to help show their support.

Chief executive of the BCLA, Luke Stevens-Burt, said: “The campaign raises awareness of safe contact lens wear and the benefits of wearing contact lenses while sharing stories of the life-changing impact lenses have had on people from all walks of life. We want to inspire eye care professionals to get talking about contact lenses and highlight the importance of high-quality aftercare for continued healthy lens wear – and sourcing their contact lenses from reputable, legal retailers.”
