Inaccurate sight test comments

We are concerned about misleading comments which could confuse the public about what their sight test constitutes in the form of essential eye health checks. In response to Professor Dan Reinstein’s comments about sight tests, our Professional Adviser, Geoff Roberson, has responded - explaining why these inaccurate comments undermine the importance of sight tests and inviting him to discuss this with us further. 

Geoff Roberson said: “It is disappointing that an experienced ophthalmologist is not aware of what a sight test involves and that it includes an eye health check in all cases. We know that sight is the sense people fear losing the most. It’s critical that the public is not confused by Professor Reinstein’s comments which undermine the importance of sight tests.”
