WCSM appoints new master

Don Grocott has been appointed master of the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers (WCSM), and was officially installed into the role on Wednesday (5 October).

Previously Mr Grocott has held positions with a number of optical organisations, including president of the AOP, chairman of the Association of Contact Lens Manufacturers and president of Euromcontact. More recently he spent a number of years as chair of the Optical Confederation before stepping down in October 2014.
