University Valli Opticians to host annual education conference in September

University Valli Opticians will host an annual day of education at the University of Huddersfield on Sunday 8 September.

The event, named A day of learning and networking, is open to eye care practitioners from across the country.

It will feature a programme of workshops, lectures, and networking opportunities, which has been designed to enhance professional development.

Themes covered will include refractive surgery, management excellence, dry eye, and optical coherence tomography.

Speakers will include consultant ophthalmologist Dr Fayyaz Musa; consultant ophthalmic surgeon and medical retina and cataract specialist, Sajjad Mahmood; head of optometry at the University of Huddersfield, Professor John Siderov, and Practice Building founder, Andy Clarke.

The conference will also feature an exhibition that showcases products, services, and technology solutions from suppliers including Bausch & Lomb, Silhouette, Net Zero Optics, and Good Karma Eyewear.

Networking breaks and lunch will also be provided.

The conference is accredited for up to 15 CPD points, and will take place at the University of Huddersfield’s Oastler Building.

Moin Valli, managing director at University Valli Opticians and founder of Valli Opticians, which has 16 practices across the north of England, said that the conference “is a cornerstone of our commitment to supporting the professional growth” of eye care practitioners.

“We are excited to bring together industry leaders and practitioners to share knowledge and foster collaboration,” Valli said.
