Boots Opticians has been accredited by the British Franchise Association (BFA).

The BFA is the UK’s largest and longest-standing franchise trade association.

All members must go through an accreditation process in order to meet the BFA’s standards, “ensuring the brand is ethical and falls in line with the Code of Ethics for Franchising.”

As a BFA member, Boots Opticians franchise partners will gain increased access to support and guidance from franchise experts.

Gordon Dingwall, head of franchise at Boots Opticians, commented: “We’re incredibly proud to become an established member of the BFA and work with the wider franchise community to share best practice and learnings. We’re committed to supporting our franchise partners and are pleased to offer additional expert help and guidance through our new accreditation from the BFA.”

Boots Opticians runs more than 160 franchised practices across its wider estate of over 540 Boots Opticians sites.

Welcoming the “established franchise brand” as a new member, Pip Wilkins, CEO at the BFA, said: “In joining the BFA, Boots Opticians has shown its commitment to ethics and standards which we promote. We look forward to working closely with the team and supporting them in their plans for the future.”
