Kirk & Kirk founder talks to OT  about the story behind its latest Centena collection that it will showcase at 100% Optical

Kirk & Kirk will showcase its Centena collection at 100% Optical 2019 when the trade show opens its doors next month (12–14 January, ExCeL London).

Speaking to OT, founder of Kirk & Kirk, Jason Kirk, shared that the new collection has been designed to mark his family’s 100th year in optics.


All Kirk & Kirk frames are handmade from acrylic because “it is thick, but incredibly light,” Mr Kirk said. “We make all of our frames out of acrylic and we are the only people in the world who do that. It is a special type of acrylic that we have developed with our supplier so that we can make handmade frames,” he highlighted.

The Centena collection comprises of 10 frame shapes in 10 different colours. All frames are also 10 milimetes thick.

Kirk & Kirk will also showcase its Spectrum and Kaleidoscope collections during the annual trade show.
