The president of Laboratoires Théa has been recognised with two entrepreneurial awards by Ernst & Young.
Jean-Frédéric Chibret (pictured right), who has been chairman of the company since 2008, received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award at a national level during a ceremony that took place at the Salle Pleyel in Paris.
Days before, Chibret won Entrepreneur of the Year 2022 for the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year programme recognises individuals and companies demonstrating vision, leadership and success, and that work to improve quality of life in their communities, countries and around the world.
Chibret commented: “My greatest pride in Théa’s journey is to continue the family adventure and to develop the company while preserving an entrepreneurial, industrial, responsible and above all human capitalism.”
The company explained that Laboratoires Théa has seen a rapid expansion with Chibret “at the helm,” and developed a stronger presence in Europe than the former Laboratoires Chibret, becoming a “key player in the field of ophthalmology.”
The company’s products are now available in more than 65 countries worldwide.
