Backup solution

Topcon has highlighted its partnership with specialist data backup solution provider, Replicate Retina.  

The system has been designed for optometrists looking to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation, which will become enforceable from 25 May 2018.

Replicate Retina protects sensitive patient information, including retina imaging solutions and optical coherence tomography scans.

The company explained that Replicate Retina provides a simple, secure and automated system, so that staff do not need to remember to complete backups or take disks off site.

Topcon has reminded practitioners that they are accountable for all patient data held at their practice.
