CooperVision has announced a tour of the UK and Ireland to provide continuing professional development opportunities on myopia management.

The twelve-date tour will begin in Peterborough in September and end in Leeds in October.

Dispensing opticians (DOs), contact lens opticians (CLOs), and optometrists will have the opportunity to earn seven CPD points through the evening events.

The events will incorporate an introduction to EyeDream contact lenses, along with discussion workshops hosted by CooperVision’s professional affairs team on how practitioners can have great conversations about myopia and its management.

A second discussion workshop will examine how the practice team can work together effectively to ensure patients and their carers can make informed decisions about myopia management.

Nicky Latham, professional services lead, myopia management at CooperVision, said: “We’re really excited to be launching this new series of events and are looking forward to helping practice teams set themselves and their patients up for success in myopia management.”

Latham described the sessions as a “perfect opportunity” for DOs, CLOs and optometrists to top up their CPD points, “whilst also benefiting from practical, actionable advice.”

CooperVision is encouraging those interested to book places as soon as possible as spaces will be limited and issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
