The tear film is a truly amazing, delicate complex fluid which is so much more than water. It is known to comprise of many different components,¹ each element working positively to protect ocular health, comfort and vision.The very act of applying a contact lens will split the delicate tear film into two thinner layers; a pre and post lens tear film.
