Eye research charity Fight for Sight has established a new fundraising initiative, Feast your Eyes.
Calling on people to dine in the dark and donate, the event will be held from 16–22 October. It replaces the charity’s annual Carrots NightWalk, which was launched in 2011 and raised more than £480,000 for eye research.
Director of fundraising at Fight for Sight, Catherine Woodhead, said: “We’re excited to add this latest fundraising initiative to the Fight for Sight portfolio and we would encourage everyone to take part and help raise vital funds for pioneering eye research.”
She added: “We’re looking for diners and charity partners to join the fight against sight loss and work in collaboration with us, in order to fund much needed research into a number of different eye conditions.”
