In England, Wales and Northern Ireland you are eligible for a free sight test if you are under 19 and still in full-time education. (In Scotland all sight tests are free). You may also be eligible for a free sight test and a voucher towards your eyewear if you are on a low income.

You can find an optical practice (commonly known as opticians) on pretty much any high street.

If you are a student at one of the universities that offers an optometry degree, you may be able to get a sight test at a clinic there.
